First week.

Today is not our first day. Today is Thursday, our first day i guess was Monday, but not really because we haven't really started yet.
We are still getting everything ready. Cleaning, organizing, planning, and trying to get the kids to de-school. The kids are such eager learners though that I have to give them lots of things to do to keep them busy and they are still doing maths, reading, history, science and whatever else they can think of on their own because they read their books or watch their science videos on Youtube or write stories or draw or play maths games on the computer. So de-schooling for us pretty much just means being relaxed while working.
They are crazy for learning. Especially my youngest. He is 8yrs old, grade 3.
My oldest is 13yrs old, year 7. So I have a fair gap between year levels.

On our first day I taught the kids how to play Cluedo. Such an awesome game. Kids loved it. Taking turns, learning the rules, writing out their lists, crossing off their clues, and making up stories about the murder. It was funny. "Mr Black was sitting in the library reading when all of a sudden Miss Scarlet walked in angry because of something and shot him twice in the chest and 20 times in the head, leaving the gun hidden in a secret compartment and fleeing before anyone found out." Very funny.

On Tuesday we just cleaned. My youngest went outside looking for snails for his snail project but it hadnt been raining enough for any snails to be out. My oldest also had MMA class to go to later in the day.
On Wednesday we did cooking and cooked French Toast, then later I gave them work to do when they started looking bored and had that glimmer of trouble in their eye. Haha! ;)
I gave them some writing to do. Its so they can work on their handwriting, spelling and creativity while also getting their feelings out on paper.

At the moment I'm trying to write up their curriculum. Figuring out what they should be learning. Its not much so far but I'm getting there.

If you notice any "C's" missing from my spelling it's because the C on my computer is stuffed.
